Lived experience of EAting Disorders In Neurodivergent and Gender-diverse people (LEADING) Study

What is the purpose of the research?

The purpose of this research is to explore the relations between eating disorders, neurodivergence, and gender identity. We are also interested in understanding diverse lived experiences of eating disorders and how these are related to gender identity and neurodivergence. This online survey forms part of a larger programme of research funded by Health and Care Research Wales that aims to improve awareness, understanding, and support for gender diverse and neurodivergent adults with eating disorders.

We are a gender diverse and neurodiverse research team with lived experience of eating disorders and have worked alongside our advisory board of community members and professionals, including Beat, to develop the work.

What does the study involve?

If you choose to take part in the project you will be asked to complete an online questionnaire that should take around 45 minutes.
