Heather joined Beat as a freelance Clinical Trainer in 2019 and remains passionate in providing support to encourage recovery of an eating disorder. Heather thoroughly enjoys delivering a range of workshops to carers to instill hope, build on their confidence and learn new evidence-based techniques on how best they can support their loved ones in their journey.
Heather has been a Mental Health Nurse since 2007 and her interest in eating disorders developed during her first nursing post in a CAMHS inpatient unit. She is proud to have been working in eating disorders since 2011 and works clinically along with managing an Adult Eating Disorders Service in Lincolnshire. The service is currently going through many exciting changes as part of the mental health transformation to encourage early intervention.
