Supporting Beat and raising money in someone’s memory is a special way to celebrate their life.
There are a number of ways in which you can remember a loved one with Beat and we are always incredibly honoured to be part of your memories.
Create an online tribute page
A tribute page is your own dedicated online space to remember your loved-one, celebrate their life and raise money for Beat in their memory. You can tell the story of the person you are remembering with words, photos and videos and share thoughts together in one place to commemorate them. Friends and family visiting the page can add to this, light a virtual candle and also donate in their memory.
A tribute fund is a lasting way to remember someone close to your heart.
Make a donation in memory
If you’d like to dedicate a donation to someone, you can give a gift in their name:
- Online: use our secure online donation form
- By phone: call 01603 753302 to speak to our fundraising team
- By post: send cheques payable to ‘Beat’ to, 1 Chalk Hill House, 19 Rosary Road, Norwich, NR1 1SZ.
Collect at a funeral or memorial service
Donations collected at funeral, memorial or celebration of life services can help ensure Beat is there for everyone affected by eating disorders, now and in the future. A collection can usually be arranged by the funeral directors or we can also provide collection boxes for you to use.
To pay in proceeds from a collection made in memory, please use one of the methods outlined above, or contact us if you’d like any support with this.
Take on a fundraising challenge
Taking part in a challenge such as sporting event, trek or skydive is a wonderful way to pay tribute to your loved-one and our team will be there to support you throughout your fundraising journey.
If sports or adrenaline activities aren’t for you, you may want to organise your own event such as a music night, sponsored walk or an afternoon tea for family and friends. If you’d also like to talk through any ideas we’d be more than happy to help.
