We're glad you're interested in joining our online support group for those with anorexia navigating an eating disorder (no diagnosis is required). This is a virtual chat-room where you can expect a supportive community. In this judgment-free space, you have the option to share your thoughts by typing or simply listen to others—participation is entirely voluntary.
Each session will be split into two parts. The first part will be spent focused on the group theme (please see below) and the second part will be a guided Q&A focused on eating disorder recovery.
What are group themes?
The group themes have been created to empower individuals in overcoming obstacles and gaining confidence in a range of areas. By providing a supportive space for exploration and growth, our themed groups aim to facilitate meaningful discussions, share valuable insights, and foster a sense of community among those who join.

What is a guided Q&A section?
The guided Q&A section offers a safe space to engage in conversations, ask questions, or share your experiences through text. We encourage you to engage in respectful discussions, knowing that empathy and understanding are at the core of our group. For example, if you're seeking insights on coping with specific challenges, consider asking fellow members if they've encountered similar situations and how they navigated them.

Within Guidelines? –
To maintain a smooth flow of conversation, our moderators may not approve every message shared if it doesn't align with the ongoing discussion. This ensures that conversations remain focused and the group atmosphere remains supportive rather than overwhelming. Note that we aim to keep our groups as recovery focused as possible, with the eating disorder always being at the centre of our conversations.
The Swan anorexia support group runs on Monday from 6:45pm to 7:45pm.
